The IQanat Foundation has launched free programmes focused on academic support for rural school students
Peer-To-Peer
A flagship programme based on the principle of Giving Back: senior IQHSB students and Foundation programme participants become tutors for younger IQanat students who are just starting their path in IQanat. Experience, knowledge and support are passed on, keeping a cycle of kindness within the community.
During the year, classes are held online on a dedicated platform. During Olympiad stages, tutor-ustazes meet the children in person and continue teaching through face-to-face interaction. At the Final, when receiving a grant, participants often thank not only trustees and parents, but also the ustazes who accompanied them on this journey.

Kazakh language
A course for students in Russian-medium classes. Children learn the language to speak, write and understand it more confidently in everyday life.
Based on last year’s results, 78% of students improved their Kazakh language level.

Chinese
A track for students planning to enter universities in China. School students learn the basics of reading and writing, get to know Chinese characters and practise building short texts.
More than 84% of students have already reached basic level (HSK1) by the end of the course.

Career guidance
Career guidance is a set of processes — from education and testing to internships and conversations with professionals — that help finalists choose their future career field.
Expected results:
• preparing finalists for a well-founded career choice that meets personal interests as well as social needs and labour-market demand;
• smoother socialisation of graduates.

Mentoring
A project that brings together successful people of Kazakhstan to support IQanat finalists and share knowledge, experience and values.
Goal: to develop key skills in a chosen field and increase the motivation of IQanat programme participants, taking into account their individual needs and interests, without direct interference in their lives.
Expected results:
• nurturing socially successful individuals, raising a generation of mentors from among IQanat alumni and building a community of professional IQanat mentors to support rural children of Kazakhstan.

General English
In the 2023–2024 academic year the Foundation launched a project to raise English proficiency among students in grades 9–10. The key feature of the course is group classes with a teacher on a specially designed learning platform.
Expected results:
• Higher English proficiency among students;
• Readiness to start IELTS preparation;
• Self-confidence and a goal to enter universities abroad.
Learning is organised in the following groups:
Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate

IT project
An IT course organised with the support of Astana Hub (International Technopark of IT Startups) for participants of IQanat Foundation’s post-olympiad support.
Students in grades 9–10 take part in the project.
The course covers such areas of information technology as computer literacy, No Code and Low Code.
Expected results:

You will learn how to use a computer, files and the internet, and work with core computer programs.
No prior knowledge is required.

Building a product without writing code; the course will help you understand how an IT product works.
You will learn how to create a website and a chatbot using no-code tools.
Tools used: Airtable, Make, Adalo, Tilda, Notion.

Low Code
Building a product without writing code (as in No Code), but with the option to use code for more detailed changes.
You will learn how to make a Telegram bot, a website and a mobile app.
Tools used: Directual, Creatium, AppMaster, Wappler.
